Originated from Nice, a city located on the South East coast of France, this meal is one the most typical dish of the Mediterranean cuisine.
The Salade Niçoise perfectly mixes quality products from sea and earth, and may be prepared for any occasion, at any season of the year!
Of course, feel free to adapt the preparation of this iconic meal according to your own desires. Everyone's taste is different... but this salade is always delicious!
INGREDIENTS (for 1 person)
4 tomatoes
Tuna in brine
Basil leaves
Red wine vinegar
Salt & pepper
Olive oil
4 eggs
2 small onions
1 bell pepper
4 anchovy fillets
Black olives
8 radishes
4 artichokes

PREPARATION
Harden the eggs (6 to 8 minutes after boiling water), then cool them in cold water.
Chop the onions and arrange them on the bottom of the dish.Chop the garlic cloves very finely.
Add the finely cut green pepper, sliced radishes and well drained and crumbled tuna. Coarsely mix all these ingredients with salt and pepper.
Cut the tomatoes into thin rounds and add them and the artichokes. Cut the hard-boiled eggs into quarters and arrange them on top, then add the anchovy fillets, black olives and finely chopped basil.
Finally, sprinkle with salt and pepper, then add a drizzle of olive oil and wine vinegar.
Let the salad cool for a few moments in the refrigerator.
